Dickens married Catherine Hogarth in 1836. They had 10 children together. Dickens was a devoted husband and father, but he also had a number of extramarital affairs. He died in 1870, at the age of 58. He was buried in Westminster Abbey, among other great British writers.

Dickens' legacy lives on through his novels, which continue to be read and enjoyed by people all over the world. He is considered one of the greatest writers of the Victorian era, and his novels have had a profound impact on English literature and culture.
