Early Life

Pat Patterson was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on September 19, 1941. He was raised in a working-class family, and he developed a love of wrestling at a young age. He began training to become a wrestler when he was 16 years old.

Patterson made his professional wrestling debut in 1962. He wrestled in various territories throughout the United States and Canada, and he quickly established himself as one of the top young wrestlers in the business.

WWF/WWE

In 1979, Patterson signed with the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF). He soon became one of the top stars in the company, and he was involved in some of the most memorable feuds in wrestling history.

Patterson was a member of the WWWF World Tag Team Champions four times, and he also won the WWF Intercontinental Championship once. He was also a key figure in the development of the Royal Rumble match.

Retirement

Patterson retired from wrestling in 1987. He continued to work for the WWF as a backstage producer, and he was also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 1996.

Patterson died on December 2, 2020, at the age of 79. He is remembered as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.
